Many women are now serious about keeping the vaginal area clean and free of hair. One way that everybody knows how is through vaginal shaving while others take it to the beauty salons to get it done. For self-shaving many are still struggling with the right way you go about to remove the hairs surrounding the vaginal area. This article attempts to help you provide you the basic ideas on how you can go about doing this.
The vaginal area is the most sensitive part of your pubic region. Be extremely careful with the electric clippers, scissors or razors when you attempt to remove the hair in this region. During your menstrual cycle, this area will become even more sensitive. It is best for you to wait until your period is over or do your vaginal hair shaving outside this period of time altogether. Carelessness can cause you to cut yourself in the vaginal area which can result to a lot of bleeding.
It is often more difficult to get rid of the hair surrounding the vaginal area if you are not sitting down and having a clear view of your vagina. Another way for you to have that clear view is by placing your leg up on a chair, or at the edge of the tub, while the other leg should be placed firmly of the ground. Make sure that you are at a comfortable position to avoid from losing balance. Sitting at the toilet is another alternative.
Always start with a new, clean and sharp razor. You do not want to use old razors to remove your vaginal hairs to avoid undesirable infections. Blunt razors are a no-no as they can give you nasty cuts, which you will want to avoid at all cost. If the vaginal hairs are long, use scissors or clippers to trim them down first. At all times, be very caution while you do this. Never rush through the process. With electric shavers, you may want to be extra careful and shave very slowly. Take your time.
Once you have gotten your vaginal hair cut close to the skin, soak the area with warm water or use a damp cloth. This is done to make the hair softer and to get rid all of the other cut hairs earlier. You can then apply some shaving cream or gel. Shave in the direction of hair growth. You can also stretch the skin when you reach at awkward spots. Make sure that the hand which is operating the shaver is steady during the whole process. Shaky hand is a no-no.
After you have completed the shaving of your vaginal area, clean the whole pubic region while you shower or have a bath. Clean the pores by using a mild soap. A tingling sensation may indicate that you have nicked yourself, but it is alright. Dry the pubic area gently with a clean towel and apply a moisturizer that contains vitamin E to soften out the skin and heal the nicks.
